Connect a TikTok MCP server to Claude
Custom connectors work on Claude, Claude Desktop and Cowork, on every plan. Free accounts get one custom connector. The server has to be reachable on the public internet, because Claude connects from Anthropic's cloud.
1. Handler: use the Connectors Directory
Open Handler's page in Claude's Connectors Directory and click Connect. Sign in to Handler and click Authorize. Nothing to paste.
2. Any other server, Pro or Max
Go to Customize, then Connectors. Click + Add, then Add custom connector. Enter a name and the server's URL, then click Add and sign in when asked.
3. Team or Enterprise
An Owner adds the server once in Organization settings, then Connectors (Add, then Custom, then Web). Each member then finds it under Customize, then Connectors, and clicks Connect.
Connect a TikTok MCP server to ChatGPT
ChatGPT calls connected MCP servers plugins. Your workspace settings decide whether you can add one, so on a Business or Enterprise account an admin may need to allow it first.
1. Open plugins on the web
Custom MCP servers are added in ChatGPT on the web. Go to chatgpt.com/plugins and click the + button.
2. Add the server
Choose Add custom MCP server. Give it a name, paste the server URL (for Handler: https://gethandler.ai/api/mcp/mcp), and pick OAuth for sign-in.
3. Accept the warning and create it
ChatGPT warns you to connect only servers you trust. Confirm, then click Create as a plugin and sign in when asked.
4. Use it in a chat
Install it from your personal plugins, then type @ in the message box and pick it.
